Brushing Too Hard & wrong tooth brushing technique: If you will use hard brush can cause tooth grinding & mouth ulcer. Tooth grinding can lead to tooth sensitivity & pain. Using a hard brush can cause the same problem. Brush your tooth gently, don’t give more pressure while brushing your tooth, use the proper technique to brush your tooth.

Thumb Sucking: Children who suck their thumbs for a long time(Age after of 3years) run the risk of misalignment their new adult teeth. It also can affect development in the jaw, can cause upper teeth flare out, front tooth open bite, lower teeth and lip turn inwards then orthodontic treatment is needed in future. To stop thumb sucking habit, the habit-breaking appliance you can be used.

Nail Biting & Lip biting: Nail biting can lead to fractures and chipping of front teeth. It is an oral bad habit that can begin at a young age. Stop this habit. Lip biting can cause increased front tooth space-overjet (malocclusion in the front tooth).

Grinding and Clenching: This can cause tooth attrition or cracking of the teeth, as well as muscle tenderness or joint pain & headache. It can also cause tooth periodontal problems.
